SMB Spark · About
I'm Daniel Ing.
Many small-business problems don't belong to marketing, operations, technology or strategy alone. Yet help usually comes in one of those boxes.
My work has crossed those boundaries. That's why I start with the business problem, not a predefined service category.

A background across the business.
My earlier career in banking and financial services gave me a view of businesses through their finances, decisions and constraints.
From 2016 to 2022, I was Head of Marketing for PACE's Business Division. The work spanned marketing, small-business support, community and economic-development programs, partnerships and organizational initiatives. It put me inside the small-business ecosystem, where the problems rarely stayed inside a single discipline.
At Crowdz, a B2B fintech company, I worked in partner marketing and product marketing from 2022 to 2024. That brought product, financial services and partnerships together in another setting.
I founded SMB Spark in 2024 and began building digital products. These days I build with AI-assisted tools, which lets me move from an idea to something people can use quickly. Today, I bring marketing, product, partnerships, financial services, economic development, consulting and hands-on building to the same question: what does this business actually need?
Why SMB Spark exists.
I wanted to work across those boundaries and build practical solutions, rather than hand over recommendations that never get implemented.
Sometimes the right response is a clearer plan. Sometimes it's a better process, a website or a working tool. I can help figure out which, then help make it real.
How I work
Small enough to use.
Clear enough to run.
01
Start with the problem
I look at the business, the people and the constraints before deciding what to build.
02
Build the smallest useful thing first
I make something practical that can be tested before adding more.
03
Leave you able to run it
I keep the work understandable so you can use and maintain what I built.
